PhD Student Advisor / Doktorandombudsman på THS

All doctoral Students at KTH are welcome to contact The Doctoral Student Ombudsperson and receive support and advice free of charge. Reach out with any question regarding your position as a PhD student at KTH – for example issues with funding, mistreatment, or questions about your rights and responsibilities as a PhD student. Everything you share is strictly confidential.

Micha is the PhD Student Ombudsperson at THS. They are a lawyer by education and has significant experience with student advisory roles from previous univerisities. Please reach out to them as soon as you run into challenges regarding your doctoral studies and they will assist you or refer you to someone who can. 

Micha’s office is located in The Student Union building, Nymble, at Drottning Kristinas väg 15. To book a meeting or ask a question, send an e-mail to drombudet@ths.kth.se. You can also call Mischa at 08-790 98 75, but please note that they may not be able to answer if they are in a meeting – email is the preferred way to get in touch.

Health Care Services for PhD students at KTH

If you are a student at KTH and experience health issues, you can seek help from Stockholm Student Health Services. PhD students with scholarships are also covered within Stockholm student health care. In addition to offer consultations and appointments, the student health care also offers free workshops, more information can be found here.

If you are an employed PhD student and are experiencing health issues that are thought to be related to your work, you can also turn to Occupational Health Care to get help. All employees have the opportunity to visit the occupational health care, Avonova three times a year without having to notify your supervisor/head of department or someone else at KTH. The visits are according to specialist expertise and must be booked in advance, more information is available here: Occupational health care
