For the period between October 2026 and June 2027, Mohit Daga has been appointed by the board as the ‘AI functionary’.
The purpose and responsibility of this functionary role is to investigate what AI models and methods are being used in industry, and how PhD students at KTH can learn and incorporate these in their fields in a research ethical manner. Furthermore, it is the responsibility of the AI functionary to update and distribute information about AI events for PhD students happening at KTH and THS, as well as compiling course offerings relating to AI. The AI functionary will collaborate closely with the university’s own AI workgroup.
At the end of the appointed term, the AI functionary shall present a report to the Chapter, detailing his findings.
