There are plenty of heath benefits with practicing yoga, both for your body and mind! Join us on the morning of October 5th from 9:00 to 10:00 for the first yoga session arranged by the PhD chapter, at KTH-Hallen.
The session will be held by a professional instructor (in English, of course) and you can use the lockers and shower facilitices in connection with the session (bring a towel if you want to shower). There will be yoga mats you can borrow during the session, dress comfortably (like for a work-out). It will be a perfect start for your day!

Where: KTH-Hallen, Brinellvägen 38. There will be signs at the entrance and we will be there to help you find it.
Cost: FREE if you are a member of THS/PhD Chapter (become a member here: http://thstudent.upright.se/), 20kr otherwise (still a bargain!), please bring cash.

ST, trade union at KTH, arranges on October 13th, 09.30-12.00 a start up meeting of a Network for female PhD students at KTH together with the PhD Candidate Advisor, Ingrid Iliou and Professor Anna Wahl.
You, female PhD-student at KTH are welcome to the lecture hall V2, Teknikringen 76.
Anna Wahl is going to talk about the academy, change methods and the integration of equality at KTH.
The advisors from ST will inform you about the preferences joining a trade union.
ST will also have group work where you will work with what you think is important with a network for female PhD-students, lead by Anna Wahl.
ST will be offering a slight lunch, so please apply at 5th October, the latest, to st-kth@kth.se, if your are coming and tell if you are vegetarian or have other allergies.
Thanks to donations from alumni and friends of KTH, KTH Opportunities Fund is able to support student projects and initiatives. All KTH students at the undergraduate, master’s and doctoral level are able to apply for funding from KTH Opportunities Fund. Since the launch of the fund in 2013, the fund has financed over 200 project by students, PhD and student associations.

Apply for the Student Union Council (Deadline: September 22nd)
Kårfullmäktige (KF) is the supreme council body in THS. KF decides on topics such as THS budget, plan of operations and opinion body, as well as elects the executive board and nominating committee.
Each member has one vote and the chapters delegates are determined by making the candidate with most votes a regular delegate of the Kårfullmäktige. When all regular delegates are determined the candidate remaining with the most votes are named substitute until there are as many substitutes as regular delegates.
The PhD Chapter has the right to elect 3 delegates and 2 substitutes.
